Hyderabad: Chandanagar police on Wednesday seized 100 kg of ganja, being transported in a car, during the vehicle checking on Wednesday. According to Chandanagar ACP S Ravi Kumar, they arrested the accused V Rajender (35), a driver and native of Sangareddy district, who was transporting ganja in his car at Railway Track road in Nalaganla village.
Police arrested the driver and seized 50 packets of ganja and each packet containing 2 kg of ganja from him; all weighing 100 kg. On interrogation, the accused revealed that it was brought from Tuni of Andhra Pradesh from the other accused Chennnaiah to hand over it to another accused Pradeep, a resident of Mangalhat.
The accused gives Rs 30,000 to Pradeep after selling it to others. A case has been registered under Section 20 (b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act,1985 and efforts are going on to nab the absconding accused Pradeep and Chennaiah.
