Mozilla Presents Subscription Service Mozilla Monitor Plus for Privacy Protection
Mozilla's Mozilla Monitor Plus offers data removal requests and monthly scans, reinforcing privacy measures for users' personal information.
Mozilla has expanded its privacy offerings with the launch of Mozilla Monitor Plus, a subscription-based service to enhance data protection. This new model builds upon the foundation of the free privacy monitoring service, formerly known as Firefox Monitor, by introducing additional security features.
Mozilla Monitor Plus allows users to automatically remove their data from data broker websites, ensuring personal information such as names, addresses, and phone numbers remains secure. Through continuous scans, users can proactively monitor any potential data exposure and take appropriate action to safeguard their privacy.
To initiate the monitoring process, users can opt for a one-time free scan by providing basic personal details such as their name, current city and state, date of birth, and email address. This encrypted information adheres to Mozilla's stringent privacy policy, ensuring user confidentiality.
Users can subscribe to Mozilla Monitor Plus for continuous protection for $8.99 monthly. This subscription includes data removal requests and monthly scans to detect and mitigate any instances of personal information exposure on data broker sites. Upon successfully removing data, users receive notifications, ensuring peace of mind regarding the security of their information.
Initially available to users in the US, Mozilla aims to extend the Mozilla Monitor Plus service to a broader audience, reaffirming its commitment to prioritizing user privacy and data security.
