If there hadn't been a shortage of chips, you could have gone to a Reliance Jio store and bought a JioPhone Next. Initially, Jio's first smartphone for India was supposed to go on sale in September, but manufacturing limitations led Jio to make the first sale just before Diwali. With the festival lights just a few weeks away, it's time to freshen up on the JioPhone Next smartphone.
Designed in collaboration with Google, the JioPhone Next is primarily a budget smartphone aimed at first-time smartphone buyers at a very low price. It runs on a special version of Google's Android operating system and will bring optimized versions of various Google features, including voice search, cameras, and the promise of timely software updates.

JioPhone Next: Expected price
Jio has yet to reveal pricing for the JioPhone Next. However, various rumours have suggested that the JioPhone Next will arrive at a low price of ₹ 3,499. This is likely to make it one of the cheapest Android phones to buy in India.
JioPhone Next: Specifications and Features
Similar to its price, Jio has yet to reveal the detailed spec sheet. Based on the RIL AGM 2021 launch event, we know that Jio has developed the JioPhone Next in collaboration with Google. The JioPhone Next has a compact screen with thick bezels around it, which is probably 5.5 inches long. Since it is a low-cost phone, the JioPhone Next is also expected to use the Qualcomm QM215 chipset, which is designed for entry-level Android Go phones. The operating system is likely the Android 11 Go edition. Rumours have also suggested that it will be serviced by a 2500mAh battery and will come with 2GB and 3GB RAM options.
Jio has said so far that the JioPhone Next will have a single rear camera and will have Snapchat lenses built-in. There will be the Google Assistant on board for all voice command based functions. And, as expected, the JioPhone Next will come preloaded with all Jio apps, including the MyJio app, JioSaavn, Jio Cinema, and others.
