Apple may launch three more iPhones in early 2027
Apple might have new iPhones coming for people who think its newest top models are too pricey. Even though the iPhone 18 Pro models and the foldable iPhone Duo have already gotten a lot of attention the company is said to be working on three versions, for the next part of its product line.
According to reports, Apple could launch the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and second-generation iPhone Air in the first few months of 2027. The launch window is reportedly between February and April. However, Apple has not officially confirmed the launch date, specifications or pricing of these upcoming devices.
The standard iPhone 18 is expected to be the most significant of the three. A tipster on Weibo claims production could begin towards the end of November 2026, with Apple reportedly building a substantial inventory ahead of the spring launch. This follows an earlier report suggesting Apple could reduce production of the standard model while focusing more on the iPhone 18 Pro Max and foldable iPhone Duo.
The iPhone 18 is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, broadly similar to the iPhone 17. A brighter panel and smaller Dynamic Island are also reportedly in development.
Design changes could extend to the rear camera area. A dummy unit shared by tipster Majin Bu reportedly shows two vertically positioned cameras housed inside a horizontal camera bar. Silver, pink, dark blue and burgundy could be among the colour choices, although these details remain unconfirmed.
Inside, the iPhone 18 is expected to use Apple's A20 chipset, reportedly manufactured using a 2-nanometre process. The chip could integrate RAM with the CPU, GPU and Neural Engine on the same wafer, potentially helping performance and efficiency. Apple's C2 modem and iOS 27 are also tipped.
RAM details remain unclear, with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggesting 9GB, while Jeff Pu has reportedly pointed to 12GB. Another leak mentions six-channel memory using 1.5GB per die.
When it comes to photography iPhone 18 might keep a 48‑megapixel camera and a 48‑megapixel ultra‑wide camera. The front camera could be either 18‑megapixel or 24‑megapixel. Apple could also make the camera control button easier to use.
The iPhone 18e is expected to stay affordable by keeping a 6.1-inch display and a familiar design. To reduce costs some hardware parts might be downgraded. At the time the iPhone Air 2 is said to bring bigger improvements. It could have a 6.5-inch display, a titanium body, an A20 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM, better battery life and a second 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
In India the iPhone 18 could reportedly start at Rs 99,900 while the iPhone 18e may begin at Rs 79,900. The iPhone Air 2 could sit between the standard and Pro models at around Rs 1,49,000. These prices remain speculative until Apple makes an official announcement.
