Airtel Digital TV Technical Glitch: Subscribers Connection Details Gets Changed
Bharti Airtel India Twitter account said that the pop-up message was due to a "technical glitch."
On Monday, Airtel Digital TV users were irritated by a service message displayed with a resolution code. The message emerged randomly on the TV screens of various Airtel Digital TV customers contained a complaint number and a resolution code. Several irritated users took to social media complaining about the issue. Distinctly, some Airtel Digital TV customers observed a sudden change in subscriber details of their DTH (direct-to-home) connections. The users complained that without any prior communication, their customer ID and registered mobile number got changed. Airtel on its Twitter support page acknowledged the issue.
User reports on Twitter mentioned that the issue is observed since around 8 pm on Monday. Several users stated that they saw a screen displaying a random complaint number and a resolution code. The screen with the complaint number and resolution code is displayed when a customer files a complaint to the operator. Though, the customers affected specified that the message was displayed on the screen for no reason – even when they didn't raise any complaint. Some users also mentioned that they were unable to reach the consumer care helpline number.
