Vishal Sikka’s AI Startup Hang Ten Raises $53 Million in Seed Funding
In Short
Hang Ten Systems, founded by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka has received $53 million in seed funding. This new money raises Hang Ten Systems’ investment to $85 million, only four months after the company began.

Vishal Sikka, the CEO of Infosys
Hang Ten Systems, an AI startup started in May of this year by Vishal Sikka, the CEO of Infosys has raised another $53 million. That’s about 508.47 crore rupees. This comes after a seed round where the company raised $32 million, roughly 306.91 crore rupees. With this funding the total amount raised now stands at $85 million or, around 815 crore rupees. This is just four months after the company was formed. Unlike OpenAI or Anthropic Hang Ten Systems does not build AI models. Instead, it works as a strategic and execution partner helping integrate AI into large-scale enterprise engineering projects.
TechCrunch reported that the newest round was led by Xora, an early‑stage investment platform that receives backing from Temasek. Mayfield, the investor that led Hang Ten’s seed round also took part. Additional investors are Aramco Ventures, Intel CEO Lip‑Bu Tan, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and Yahoo co‑founder Jerry Yang, who has become a member of the company’s board of directors. The two funding rounds finished five weeks apart.
Hang Ten seeks to streamline enterprise software development
Sikka believes that AI is changing how software is made by spending most of developer’s time writing code. Developers can use AI to produce code and spend more time telling software what software should do and checking that software works correctly. I find this change exciting. "The construction phase itself has come to have zero marginal cost and execution time " Sikka told TechCrunch.
Hang Ten says their method is already drawing interest from companies. Sikka shared that the company landed a contract worth millions of dollars with a customer just 25 days after their first meeting. The company is working with. Talking to 21 companies in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The company uses a framework called Hobie. Hobie brings AI tools into software projects. Sanjay Rajagopalan, co-founder and head of design said that teams of two to four people can handle projects that used to need thirty people. Final quality checks and certification stay the responsibility of the clients or independent third parties.
Hang Ten says that Hang Ten wants to be ten times better, on cost, speed or a mix of both.
The new funding will allow Hang Ten to grow its engineering, consulting and sales teams and to keep building Hang Ten’s platform and AI tools. Hang Ten also wants to move into Singapore, Southeast Asia and other places.
Hang Ten is entering a competitive market where AI companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are developing services for the enterprise sector, while traditional IT firms are incorporating AI into their offerings. Sikka maintains that companies will continue to need independent partners to help them implement AI reliably.
"AI could be the most powerful amplifier we have ever created. However, in the enterprise world, the power of AI must go hand in hand with reliability," he said.
