Tech Giant Google Has Announced 1000$ Allowance To Their Employees To Buy Laptops And Other WFH Essentials

Most of the tech giants have ordered their employees to continue their work from home till the year-end. Even Google has taken this decision in order to protect their employees from this novel virus.
Off late, Google CEO Sundar Pichai also announced a 1000$ allowance for every employee to make them buy laptops and other WFH essentials. This decision has been taken by the company to balance the working style of the employees from home. Now every Googler will be able to set up a working platform at his home. Be it the furniture, laptop essentials or the computer table equipment, this allowance will make them spend of the needy items. This makes every employee to give out his 100% during his work time in a hassle-free manner.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai has sent mails to all the Google and Alphabet company employees regarding this allowance and penned down a note for them: "Because we still expect that most Googlers will be largely working from home for the rest of this year, we'll be giving each Googler an allowance of $1,000 or the equivalent value in your country, to expense necessary equipment and office furniture,".
On the other hand, Google company is working on its roadmap to make their employees safely return to offices till the end of this year. Depending on the local conditions, the company is hoping to bring back 10% of occupancy in each of its branch on or before 6th July, 2020.
Pichai also stated that, "This will give Googlers who need to come back to the office or, capacity permitting, who want to come back the opportunity to return on a limited, rotating basis. Moving ahead, we are looking to develop more overall flexibility in how we work. Our campuses are designed to enable collaboration and community in fact, some of our greatest innovations were the result of chance encounters in the office and it's clear this is something many of us don't want to lose," he says. "At the same time, we are very familiar with distributed work as we have many offices around the world and open-minded about the lessons we'll learn through this period," he adds.
