China Economic Daily report suggests that the new AirPods may release early in this month for $260.

Earlier this year, Apple took everyone by surprise when it launched new variants of AirPods without much changes in the device. It was initially launched in 2017. There were rumours about new the AirPods that it may come in a unique design and features noise-cancellation. China Economic Daily report suggests that the new AirPods may release early in this month.

The report mentions a source from Apple's supply chain and proposes that the new AirPods will be called AirPods Pro. The report also suggests that the new AirPods Pro will have a new metal design, support noise-cancellation and also be water-resistant. It is rumoured that the new AirPods Pro may be priced at $260. The current-generation AirPods with a wireless charging case are sold for $199. The AirPods comes along with an AirPods case, which is beautiful to look at.

The China Economic Daily report also says that Apple has no plans to discontinue the existing AirPods. The new AirPods Pro could very well be a more 'premium' offering from Apple for its truly wireless earbuds. The main idea behind the forthcoming launch, maybe Apple is looking to target the holiday shopping season.

While the new AirPods may soon arrive, we suggest you take this rumour with a considerable pinch of salt. Rumours about Apple launching new products have been doing the rounds. It is also recommended that Apple may organise another event in October (the way it has been doing almost every year from 2011). It had been rumoured that the new AirPods might be revealed along with a 16-inch MacBook Pro and a new iPad Pro also. Though, there has been no word about any event or any of these products from the Cupertino-based tech giant. So it's all about rumour and hearsay as of now, even about the new AirPods Pro.
