Apple India Revenue Crosses Rs 1 Lakh Crore
In Short
Apples India revenue went past one lakh crore rupees in the year 2026. This happened because people wanted iPhones a lot. More stores were opened. Also, there were ways to buy phones. The company also saw growth in expensive products.

Apple’s business in India has reached a milestone.
Apple’s business in India has reached a milestone. For the time the company’s annual revenue in the country crossed Rs 1 lakh crore during the financial year that ended in March 2026 also known as FY26. This strong growth is mainly due to the rising demand for Apple’s products, the iPhone. The iPhone continues to lead Apple’s success in India and plays a role in helping the company establish a strong presence in the country’s fast-growing premium smartphone market.
According to the documents submitted to the Registrar of Companies Apple's revenue from operations in India went up by 31 per cent when compared to the year. The total revenue came to Rs crore, in FY26. In FY25 the company had shared a revenue of Rs 79,060 crore.
Apple’s profitability also recorded a sharp increase. Its net profit rose 66 per cent to Rs 5,311 crore, compared with Rs 3,196 crore a year earlier. In FY25, profit had grown 16 per cent. The numbers indicate that Apple’s earnings are increasing at a faster pace than its revenue, highlighting the strength of its business in the Indian market.
The figures, shared by Apple and first reported by the Economic Times, come at a time when smartphone makers are dealing with rising component costs and uncertainty surrounding memory and RAM supplies.
Apple has nonetheless gained from the growth of India’s premium smartphone market. According to Counterpoint Research the overall Indian smartphone market saw a 2 per cent increase in volume and a 9 per cent rise in value during FY26. At the time smartphones priced above Rs 30,000 experienced a 12 per cent growth, in volume.
Apple’s own volume growth reportedly climbed to 24 per cent in FY26, compared with 11 per cent in FY25.
What is driving Apple’s growth in India?
Apple’s expanding retail presence is one factor helping the company reach customers beyond India’s largest cities. Its growing footprint in Tier 2 cities has made its products more accessible to consumers who may previously have had limited access to Apple’s retail network.
Financing has also played an important role. No-Cost EMI schemes and consumer loans that come from partnerships with banks and fintech platforms can make expensive devices easier to buy. A phone that costs between Rs 80,000 and Rs 1,30,000 can be spread over payments of about Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000.
E-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart have helped boost demand by offering trade-in deals and exchange bonuses for smartphones. These promotions can lower the price of a new iPhone quite a bit. That makes Apple’s high-end phones easier for more people in India to afford.
Meanwhile Samsung had a 1.4 per cent drop in phone revenue to Rs 81,472 crore in the fiscal year. However, Samsungs India business also has other areas, such as televisions and home appliances making a direct comparison with Apple more complicated.
