Five Hyd skaters selected for World Skate Games 2026

Hyderabad: Five skaters from Hyderabad have been selected to represent Telangana at the World Skate Games 2026, an international roller skating event scheduled from October 2 to 18, 2026. The selected skaters are K Varshitha, R Kavyasri, B Rohith Raj, K Bharath Chandra and K Sarath Chandra.

The players earned selection based on their performances in selection trials conducted under the Roller Skating Federation of India. According to the federation’s communication, the skaters have been named among the probable players for the Inline Hockey team and are expected to compete at the international-level event.

The federation has informed the concerned state authorities and skaters that the World Skate Games 2026 will be held in Asuncion, Paraguay. The team is likely to depart early to allow players to acclimatise before the competitions and will return after the conclusion of the Games. The selected skaters have been asked to confirm their acceptance of the federation’s stipulated conditions by signing and returning a duplicate copy of the communication. Parents have been advised to endorse the documents in the case of minor players.
