Indian cricketers post heartfelt messages after World Cup exit

Wednesday wasn't an easy day for millions of fans across the globe. A dream that certainly was on its way to turn into a reality was shattered into myriad pieces at Old Trafford in Manchester. With their favourite Indian team losing to New Zealand in the semi-final to crash out of the World Cup, numerous supporters were left heartbroken.
Touted to be among the frontrunners to lift the title this year, Virat Kohli and co had a brilliant run in the mega event this year. Dominating with both bat and ball, the Men in Blue outclassed different oppositions all through the league stage to end it as the top-placed side. The team though faltered against the Kiwis in the semi-final to be knocked out of the tournament.
However, the Indian cricketers have been receiving plaudits from several corners for the brand of cricket that they played. The likes of Rohit Sharma and JaspritBumrahare among the top performers in the World Cup this year and stand as gleaming testimonies to India's terrific display in the competition.
The defeat to New Zealand in a crunch game though left the players as disheartened as the fans, if not more. Expressing disappointment over the loss and thanking the fans for their unconditional love and support, the Indian cricketers took to social media to post heartfelt messages.
Here's what a few of them wrote:
