BCCI suspends Prithvi Shaw for doping violation

Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw registered with Mumbai Cricket Association, has been suspended for doping violation by the BCCI.
MUMBAI: The young cricketer had ingested a prohibited substance, commonly found in cough syrups as per the BCCI statement.
Mr. Shaw explained that he had taken Terbutaline to treat a Respiratory Tract Infection as opposed to a performance-enhancing drug.
He has been suspended for eight months.
