Union Minister D Purandeswari launches Phase VI of Project Arrow in Visakhapatnam, reaffirming support for a united Andhra. The project focuses on enhancing post office services and infrastructure in urban and rural areas.
Visakhapatnam: Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Dr D Purandeswari who was here on Saturday to launch the Phase VI Project Arrow Post Offices in the city stated that they were standing by their earlier stand on the united Andhra and there was no change in it.
The project envisages upgradation of Post Offices in urban and rural areas both in terms of upgrading and enhancing the quality of service in 'core areas' and improving the 'look and feel'. After launching the Project Arrow services to ensure quick delivery of Money Orders and other correspondence at Waltair RS head post office, P&T Colony post office and Lawsons Bay Colony post office, Dr Purandeswari in an informal chat with reporters said that a decision is yet to be taken on the Telangana issue by the Centre as per her knowledge adding that they were committed for united AP.
On the significance of the proposed visit of AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh to Vizag and Hyderabad, she replied that it was purely a private visit to Vizag and as per his itinerary. Singh will go to Hyderabad next day morning to meet important party leaders.
