From being mountain babies to being fast fashion lovers, sisters, Avisha and Ilakshi both grew up with a laid-back approach and slow lifestyle. Their journey began 3 years ago, when their cultural selves started overshadowing their personality and fast fashion got boring.
Being around a lot of fashion-loving women with different shapes & sizes, their brand The Right Cut was named as an ode to them, custom making clothes for different sizes and being body positive.Jow they spend time decorating their handkerchiefs, bedsheets, embroidering initials with anchor threads in between of their household chaos finding that solitude.
“Our collections are deeply inspired from flowers that we’ve grown seeing in our backyard, spending time with them dawn to dusk with a book or just simply doodling,” say the designers.
Evidently, the brand specialises in needle work, hand embroideries on homespun fabrics resulting in designs that are timeless which find a reflection in the current collection. Thecollection, ‘She’s a Wildflower’ is all about wildflowers from their mountain trips and their wild souls that refuse to settle.
"We always love to play around multifaceted - accomplished nature of women and the vulnerability of it. We want to create a brand that is ethnic, rooted and progressive. We want to reach to a woman’s wardrobe and slowly become a part of her home with specially embroidered home decor and bring the backyard indoors. Basically, never stop experimenting and hustling,"Avisha and Ilakshi share their vision.
