Party hair can be anything from blow-dried hair to scrunched up hair with a bit of hairspray but when it comes to those times when you are looking at making an impression, you need to go a step further. Let’s see hairstyles which won’t take hours to master but will definitely help you look special for the occasion.

The Classic High Ponytail: Opt for a sleek high ponytail if you have long hair and want to go for a chic or minimal overall look. This hairstyle elevates your cheekbones and shows off your neck. To get this look blow dry your hair, especially roots keeping in mind the direction of the base of you ponytail. Gather top half of the ponytail first then gather the remaining half. Secure the ponytail with bungee bands which are easily available in stores and even online. Don’t forget to spray some hair polish for an instant shine.

The Half-sie: This one is a highly trending party hairstyle among the A-listers. All you need is a hair tie, bobby pins and some texture spray to give the halfsie that perfect messy bun look and scattered waves. Begin by separating your hair and teasing it a bit then smooth the hair to cover the teasing. Gather the top half into a bun and let the remaining fall into loose waves. Some spray and you are all set to go. This hairstyle gives you a carefree yet edgy look.

The Side-Swept Hair: This hairstyle is perfect for those off shoulder or one shoulder dresses. Start with clean blow dried hair, use fingers to part your hair on the opposite side of your usual parting. Grab the front part and place a round brush at the roots , wrap the section clockwise around the brush. Set this with a blow dryer on medium. Now with your blow dryer still set to medium and pointed at the brush, pull your hair through the brush, swooping it down over your forehead and up around your ear. Repeat until your hair is smooth. Looks best with shoulder length or upto 2 inches below the shoulder level hair.

Full top knot: When a party calls for a more fuss free hairstyle, a full top knot is a pretty way to put your hair away from your face. This is especially ideal for an afternoon outdoor party or a beach party where humidity can spoil your loose tresses. To get this look, apply somestyle gel to dry hair and comb it back with a brush. Gather it into a high ponytail at the top of your head. Separate hair into 3 sections , tease each to add volume, twist each strand and wrap the sections around the band holding the ponytail. Secure with bobby pins.
