Nirmal: Furious over the decline of number of deliveries at primary health centres (PHCs), District Collector M Prashanthi ordered the PHCs staff to meet pregnant women one week before the delivery and convince them to get delivery at PHCs.
She held a review meeting with the staff of medical and health departments here on Thursday. She instructed them to promote deliveries at government hospitals.
The Collector also told them utilise the services of 108 and 102 vehicles in this regard. She stressed on the maintenance of hygienic environment in PHCs with cleanliness from beds to bathrooms. DHMO Jalapathi Naik, Area Hospital Superintendent Dr Suresh, Dr Karthik, doctors and supervisors were present.
