Karimnagar: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) alone can develop the Telangana State in all sectors, stated party State president L Ramana. Party leaders and activists staged a maha dharna here in front of the Collectorate on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramana said many people thought their dreams and aspirations could be fulfilled by achieving separate Statehood for Telangana but were disappointed as they are still facing many problems under the ruling of TRS government.
Criticising that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was failed to fulfil his promise of one government job to every family, he said KCR cheated the people of the State with his mesmerising words.
Karimnagar district has great history and number of natural resources that was lost under the ruling of government. without much thinking, KCR had reorganised the districts, due to which the district lost its glory. With 12 MLAs and 2 MPs, the TRS government did nothing great to the people of Karimnagar district, he added.
When 28 Chief Ministers in the country are working from Monday to Saturday for the wellbeing of the people in their respective states, Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was restricted to his farm house for about 365 days, Ramana alleged.
If the TDP government is formed after 2019 Assembly elections, Pragathi Bhavan (PB) will be converted into government hospital, he announced. He demanded that the TRS government should fill up 1.15 vacant posts with the unemployed youth immediately.
TDP State general secretary N Narsi Reddy, polit bureau member Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy, disciplinary committee member Bakkana Narasimhulu and district president Joji Reddy along with other leaders and activists have participated in the dharna.
