Sultanabad: Students of Sri Chaitanya College in association with the Youth Congress activists staged a dharna in front of the college on Tuesday accusing the management of going back on its promise on tuition fees.
They accused the college management of not keeping up its promise on imparting education on scholarship basis collecting no tuition fee from students. The students lamented that they were not being allowed to take the public examination unless they pay the tuition fees.
A student, Kavvampalli Rama, said that she successfully completed two-year Intermediate course believing the management’s word that there would be no tuition fee at all. But the management was now demanding the students to pay tuition fee to return their original certificates, she alleged.
The college was not conducting exams properly and the teaching was also not up to the mark, she said explaining the reason for the dharna. She along with other students demanded justice to her.
