Nalgonda: Mahatma Gandhi University Vice-Chancellor Khaza Altaf Hussain advised the students to become proficient in English language to grab international job opportunities as the world became a global village in the present technology era.

On Tuesday, he launched university-level NSS volunteers youth festival at university auditorium. Addressing NSS volunteers, he said the university was trying to develop skills and was inculcating service nature in the students through National Service Scheme.

“MGU became role model in the State by implementing attendance biometric system in all colleges under university jurisdiction,” he underlined.
He advised the managements of the college to consider only regular students while registering the students for NSS.

Stating that any language in the world can be learnt through practice, he suggested the students to obtain fluency in English to secure high-waged domestic and international employment jobs.

NSS Coordinator Domala Ramesh informed that winners of university-level youth festival were sent to take part in inter- university (State-level) youth festival competitions to be held at Kaloji Naryana Rao Memorial Health University in Warangal.

Varsity Registrar M Yadagiri distributed prizes to the winners of 13 events held in the youth festival. Student Welfare Officer L Madhu, Dr Madhuri, Dr Prashanthi and NSS students of the colleges of erstwhile Nalgonda took part in the programme.
