Intelligence wing too swings into action

Hyderabad: State Intelligence officials have now swung into action to collect information on police officers allegedly associated with K Rakesh Reddy, principal suspect in the murder of NRI industrialist Chigurupati Jayaram.

During the interrogation, Rakesh Reddy made startling revelation about his association with at least a dozen police officers, according to the police investigating into the murder case.

Ibrahimpatnam ACP S Malla Reddy and Nallakunta Inspector S Srinivasulu were transferred for their alleged links with the suspect. Now Rakesh Reddy’s interference in civil disputes and threatening businesspersons and realtors came to light. He did so with the help of certain police officers, it is alleged.
