Hyderabad: The Congress party may face a tough task in choosing candidate for the ensuring Lok Sabha election with as many as 73 aspirants competing for the party ticket. According to party leaders. four strong aspirants on the average are in the race in each of 17 Lok Sabha constituencies for the party ticket. There are several aspirants for the party ticket to contest from Hyderabad Lok constituency in which the Congress has to face an uphill task.
Party leaders said several heavyweights in the State unit are ready to try their luck in the elections in the elections. Leaders like K Jana Reddy, A Revanth Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Gudur Narayana Reddy, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, S Jaipal Reddy, D K Aruna, T Jeavan Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Mohammad Azaharuddin, Renuka Chowdary, Vijayashanthi, Mallu Ravi and a few others are seeking party ticket to contest from one or other constituency in Lok Sabha elections.
Along with them former MPs Madhu Yashki, Sarvey Satyanarayana, Nandi Yellaiah, Anjan Kumar Yadav, P Visweswar Reddy, Balram Naik and others are aspiring the party ticket. According to sources three leaders are seeking ticket from Adilabad and Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituencies. In Karimnagar former Minister T Jeevan Reddy, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, and MLA D Sridhar Babu are aspiring for the ticket.
Former Minister Sunitha Laxma Reddy, T Narasa Reddy, Vijayasanthi and three others are seeking ticket from Medak. Along with former Minister J Geetha Reddy two leaders are asking for the party nomination from Zaheerabad. MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga and four others are in the list of aspiring leaders from Warangal. Former Minister Balaram Naik and five others are seeking Mahabubabad.
There are more aspirants for Khammam Lok Sabha constituency. Renuka Chowdary, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and a few others are in the fray for the party ticket. From Bhongir constituency, Gudur Narayana Reddy and five others are aspiring for party nomination. Nalgonda Lok Sabha too is witnessing stiff competition as Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, K Jana Reddy and N Padmavathi Reddy are keen to contest. Nizamabad has two contenders for the party ticket and Chevella has three.
In Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha, A Revanth Reddy, D K Aruna and S Jaipal Reddy have thrown their hat into the ring. Nagarkurnool is witnessing competition between Mallu Ravi and Nandi Yellaiah, and four others are also seeking ticket. As far as Secunderabad Lok Saba constituency is concerned, five leaders are competing with each other. Former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, TPCC working president Azaharuddin, Kasani Gnaneswar, former Mayor Banda Kartika Reddy and others are seeking the Congress ticket.
Former MLA K Laxma Reddy has also expressed his readiness to contest from Malkajgiri constituency. Two others too are seeking the party ticket. From Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, Feroz Khan and three others are seeking the ticket.
