​Hyderabad: All India Kisan Congress chairman Nana Patole here on Tuesday accused the BJP-led government of killing farmers in police firings. Addressing the Kisan Congress southern States conference, Patole pointed that the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana was launched for the benefit of Reliance Company. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working to promote Adanis and Ambanis only.
He said the Centre was reluctant to waive crop loans, but it waived Rs 3 lakh crore loans owed by 15 corporate houses. The anti-Modi wave is blowing across the country, he said. Telangana Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the number of suicides of the farmers had risen in the past five years after the BJP came to power at the Centre and the TRS in the State. The farmers were benefited by the Congress governments’ schemes only. He said most of the irrigation projects in the country were building during the period when the Congress was in government.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy appreciated the decision of the AICC president Rahul Gandhi to implement universal minimum income guarantee scheme and he was like his grandmother Indira Gandhi who had heart for the poor.
