Forest officials, cops campaign for Jungle Bachao, Jungle Badhao

Nagarkurnool: The forest officials of Amrabad and Achampet in Nagarkurnool district had taken up the campaign for the Jungle Bachao, Jungle Badhao on Monday. And as part of the campaign, they have been creating awareness among people of the district about protecting the forest lands and at the same time increasing the forest cover.
The forest officials had also taken part in a video conference with the higher officials from Hyderabad who had given clear instructions to the district police and the forest authorities to take innovative measurers to ensure protection of forest, animals, forest land and at the same time directed them to chart out clear plans to expand the forest in the region.
“As there have been recent incidences of encroachment of forest lands and destruction of forest, because of which the poaching of animals in the forest is increasing, we have been given clear instructions to protect the forest and as part of this, we have embarked on the awareness programmes to promote Jungle Bachao, Jungle Badhao campaign,” said Narasimhulu, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Achampet.
