Balanagar: Police personnel conducted an awareness drive on saving child brides in Balanagar here on Wednesday at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, RC Puram.

Sub-Inspector P Ravi Kiran, Balanagar Police station, along with ASI, had a freewheeling interaction with the children and educated them about the ills of child marriage, child sexual abuse and how to seek police help.

The Balyaniki Raksha initiative was started by Balanagar police to promote the saving child brides and to stop child
marriages.
