Mallapur: Corporator Pannala Devender Reddy on Monday appealed to women on proper utilisation of loans given by the state government. Addressing Mallapur-2 Samaikya Group Women Associations meeting, he advised them to repay the loans in a scheduled period set by the bankers and financial institutions.
The corporator hoped that women should be on forefront in all fields. He explained the women’s role in family and society. The Group president Surekha said that the formation of associations had been creating many opportunities to the women in all fronts. They also paved way for women empowerment.
She told various success stories of the members. One of the members RP Manga explained the importance of joining as a member in the groups. She told how women from under poverty line overtook their life struggle after joining the groups. Another member Girija enlightened the meeting with her inspirational speech. Members Swarupa and Hemalatha were present. Earlier they felicitated the corporator.
