Sankranthi helps save nature: BJP

Musheerabad: BJP state president Dr K Laxman said that there was a scientific reason behind celebrating Sankratri.

Participating as the chief guest at the rangoli competitions held at the party office in Musheerabad constituency on Tuesday, he expressed despair that Hyderabad was turning out to be a concrete jungle.

“The main aim of conducting these competitions is to sensitise the next generations on how celebrating Sankranthi helps in protecting environment,” he added.

He presented sarees to women who took part in the completion and conveyed greetings.

Mahila Morcha state president Akula Vijaya, sensor board member Padma, party leaders Madhav, Dayal Reddy, Pusa Raju, Swathi, Ramya, Chaitnya, Prasanna and others were present.
