Hyderabad: With an aim to ensure safety of visitors at the All India Industrial Exhibition and to rule out any untoward incident, the organisers are setting up a three-tier security system. Besides metal detectors and CCTVs, police personnel and private security will be deployed in the Exhibition Grounds at Nampally. Also, the organisers are working in coordination with Traffic police department to ensure smooth flow of traffic in and around the exhibition grounds. Exhibition Society president and TRS MLA Eatala Rajender shared details of the arrangements in a press meet held in Society office at Nampally on Saturday.
He said that the 79th All India Industrial Exhibition-2019 will be kicked off by Home Minister Mahmood Ali on January 1. Stalls by traders from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari are part of 2,500 stalls that would be set up in this exhibition that would be held from January 1 to February 15, he said. “Last year the footfall was 20 lakh. This year we are expecting numbers to cross 25 lakh. Exhibition society is taking all measures so that fair goes on smoothly and peacefully without any problems,” he added.
Rajender said that top focus is on maintaining clean and hygiene surroundings and he urged public visiting exhibition not to litter the ground. Also, Yashoda hospitals has come forward to conduct free medical camps in the premises to attend to any type of health issues among visitors thronging the place. Ladies day (January 8), Republic day (Jan 26), Children's day (Jan 31), Well baby show (February 3) would witness special programmes to enthral public.
Also, different competitions like Rangoli (Jan 6), watercolour painting (Jan 20), mehendi (Jan 27), art of decoration (Feb 2), artisans day (Feb 3) are sure to keep visitors engaged. Meanwhile, Rajender said that society decided to utilise the money collected to support 18 colleges that were jointly set up by Exhibition Society and Osmania Graduates Association. Till now Society used to fund infrastructure and construction works for these colleges.
