Jubliee Hills: Passengers travelling from Road Number 36, Jubilee Hills, towards Punjagutta, Begumpet and Banjara Hills have to wait endlessly during peak hours for TSRTC buses. There are few buses on this route. A good number of passengers have been complaining about the lack of bus services here in Jubilee Hills Road number 36.

The present fleet of buses bearing 10H, 10K and 11 W and 42 numbers is woefully inadequate to meet the demand of commuters and the buses are always overcrowded. Syeda Amreen, a student who travels from Balanagar via Ameerpet till Jubilee Hills says, “We have to wait for the bus for 2 to 3 hours and during peak hours over 300 passengers wait for the buses, buses coming from Madhapur, Cyber Towers is already filled with passengers and till it reaches Jubilee Hills. It gets overcrowded like anything and no bus driver stops the bus here at Road Number 36. Most of the passengers are youngsters, scarcity of buses is causing much difficulties to us.”

Another passenger Shri Om, a trainer at call centre, said, “The state of the bus shelters is pathetic. The bus stops are not properly maintained and there are no bus shelters in most of the areas of Jubilee Hills I don’t know why. Yes, we know that the Metro is going to start but everyone cannot afford Metro.” The TSRTC Depot Manager of Miyapur said they were aware of the problem and taking measures accordingly.
