Hyderabad: Nagarkurnool TRS candidate Marri Janardhan Reddy on Monday made sensational allegations against Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy that the latter had called him up and sought his support to the Congress party. He quoted Vishweshwar Reddy as saying that there would be a fractured mandate in the State.
Addressing a press conference here at the Telangana Bhavan along with Minister C Laxma Reddy, MP Suman and MLC K Prabhakar, the TRS leader alleged that the Congress leaders were resorting to horse-trading. Janardhan Reddy said that at around 2.07 pm and at 2.56 pm he got two calls from Vishweshwar Reddy called on his phone with mobile number 9490861960, stating that there would be a fractured mandate and asked him to meet.
“He (Vishweshwar Reddy) called me and said seats will be very few. Let us meet and talk at Jana Reddy’s house,” said Janardhan Reddy adding that the Congress leaders at first had unethical alliance and now are indulging in horse-trading. It was a repeat of the cash for vote case, he said.
Janardhan Reddy said he told the Chevella MP that the people have voted to KCR. He alleged that the Congress leaders were trying to stop KCR from becoming Chief Minister once again. Reddy said, he had no idea on how many contestants were approached, but when he was contacted, he refused to go with them and informed the party leaders, who in turn advised him to expose it.
Caretaker Minister Laxma Reddy said these Congress leaders one one hand were stating that they would get 80 to 90 seats and TRS would get 30-40 seats and on the other they are indulging in horse-trading.
MLC Prabhakar said that Vishweshwar Reddy had become like a junior Revanth Reddy. He expressed confidence that the TRS would form the government with clear majority. Suman said that the Kutami leaders would be swept away in the tsunami of Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday. He said the TRS would to win 85 to 95 seats in the State.
