Sanath Nagar: Caretaker minister and TRS candidate contesting Sanath Nagar constituency Talasani Srinivas Yadav ended his campaign with meetings with several groups on Wednesday, the final day of campaign. Srinivas Yadav attended a get-together meeting of Vishwakarma community at Subash Nagar committee hall and addressed them. He said that past governments treated backward castes as mere vote-banks and never cared for their welfare.

It was only TRS government that initiated several welfare schemes for the backward and downtrodden sections of the society, he said. Speaking of local issues, he said that because of his efforts, high tension lines passing through Subash Nagar were removed. He appealed to them to extend their support in the ensuing elections. Corporator Kolanu Lakshmi Bal Reddy, Sambaiah, Pushpalatha and others were present.

Meeting with women

Later, the caretaker minister participated in a meeting of women held at Udaya Bharathi committee hall in Sanath Nagar division. He urged them to bring up the issues, if any, to his notice and promised them his support. Corporator Kolanu Lakshmi Bal Redy, Roja Reddy, Shoba, Sridevi, Vasantha, Nagamani, Praveen Reddy, Karunakar Reddy were present.

Mini Christmas celebrations

Srinivas Yadav, later, participated in ‘Mini Christmas’ celebrations organized by local Christians at AK Goud Function Hall at Sanath Nagar. Addressing the Christian gathering, he said that TRS government has allocated Rs 2,000 crore for the Christian minority welfare. He noted that TRS government has allocated additional funds for the maintainance of churches and masjids. He appealed them to extend their support to TRS party in the ensuing elections. Christian leaders Shanti Roberts, Anil Kumar, Narender, Dayakar and others were present.

Private employees meet

Interacting with private employees at Venkatapuram Ground in Bansilal division, he promised to resolve all the issues of private employees and urged them to support TRS party in the ensuing elections. He explained to them various measures of TRS government to provide employment to youth. Criticising opposition parties, he said that the opposition parties which ruled the state for the past 50 years have failed to address public issues and were giving false promises to deceive people. He expressed his hope that people would teach opposition parties a lesson. Padmarao Nagar TRS party in-charge Pavan Kumar Goud, private employees association president A Srinivas, Mahender, Santhosh, Sairam, Venkatesh, Raju and others were present.
