Agricultural Education Day celebrated at PJTSAU

Hyderabad: The Agricultural Education Day was celebrated on the occasion of birth anniversary of former President late Dr Babu Rajendra Prasad here on Monday on the premises of College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU).
On the occasion, an exhibition was organised to showcase the latest Agricultural research and developments in Agronomy, Agri Business Management, Agriculture Extension, Farm Machinery, Plant pathology, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Chemistry, Plant Physiology, Water Technology, Home Science and so on.

PJTSAU Vice-Chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the exhibition organised at the Agriculture College. The V-C went round all the stalls arranged at the exhibition and interacted with the students who came from over 20 schools from Hyderabad city. About 1,000 students from 20 schools visited the stalls and attended the seminar organised on “Importance of Agricultural Education and Opportunities in Agriculture Sector.” The lecture was delivered by Dr B Shivaprasad. Dr Sudheer Kumar, Registrar and Dean of Agriculture, PJTSAU, Dr Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Dean, Student affairs, Dr Umadevi, Member, Board of Management committee, Dr J Satyanarayana, Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Dr P Ramesh, OSA, were present.
