Dabeerpura: In view of the upcoming Assembly elections, a flag march was conducted by police in the limits of Mirchowk Division on Friday. The flag march was conducted on the instructions of Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and was led by south zone DCP Amber Kishore Jha. Around 100 policemen participated in the flag march conducted under the supervision of ACP Mirchowk, B Anand, Police force of Dabeerpura PS, along with Rapid Action Force.
The city police have been taking up flag marches in Old City, particularly in the areas having sensitive polling booths. “In view of the Assembly elections and to build up confidence among the public for peaceful elections, the flag march is conducted in Dabeerpura”, said Inspector of Police, N Satyanarayana. The march started from Kaladera in Malakpet to Chanchalguda via Dabeerpura bridge to Dabeerpura Darwaza and ended at near Dabeerpura Railway Station.
