Mothey ( Suryapet): A farmer was killed and his son was injured when another farmer objecting to their efforts to dig a bore well in their field attacked them.
The incident took place on Thursday midnight at Rampuram thanda of Mothe mandal in the district. The deceased was identified as Hemla (60).
According to the sources, farmers Angothu Saidulu and Hemla had agriculture lands side by side in Rampuram thanda.
Saidulu irrigated his fields by digging a bore well few months ago. The quarrel took place between the Siadulu and Hemla families, when Hemla decided to dig bore well in his field to cater to the agriculture needs on Thursday.
Siadulu predicting his bore will dry, if Hemla dig borewell in his own land, Saidulu along with his family members attacked Hemla and his son Upender. In this incident Hemla died on the spot, where as his son Upender got severe injuries.
On information, Mothey SI Santhosh rushed to the spot after shifting the injured Upender to area hospital in Suryapet for treatment, police collected information about the incident from victim Hemla family members. On complaint of Hemla’s son Ramesh, police filed a case and took up investigation.
