Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday stated that the Congress party was all set to win the next Assembly election He asked the party cadre to take up an aggressive campaign for the next 15 days to reach the masses
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday stated that the Congress party was all set to win the next Assembly election. He asked the party cadre to take up an aggressive campaign for the next 15 days to reach the masses.
The TPCC chief gave the 'forward march' orders to the party cadre including booth and mandal presidents in a live interaction with them through tele-conference and social media platforms Facebook and YouTube. He said that the People's Front comprising of the Congress, the TDP, the TJS and the CPI has been accepted by the people and it has been receiving tremendous response all across the Telangana State. He said that the Congress cadre should not waste a single minute and approach all electorates at their polling booth level to ensure victory of People's Front.
Uttam said instead of giving a progress report on the performance of his government during the last four-and-a-half years, caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao were trying to divert people's attention by raising irrelevant issues.
He alleged that both Chandrashekar Rao and Rama Rao did not give respect to anyone and ruled the State in an arrogant manner. However, just due to the fear of losing next elections, Chandrashekar Rao is talking about Telangana's self-respect.
He asked why the father and son did not thought of Telangana's self-respect when poor Dalits of Nerella were subjected to brutal third degree torture for raising voice against sand mafia. Similarly, why self -respect was not in mind when Girijan farmers were booked in treason cases, arrested, jailed, handcuffed and chained just for seeking remunerative prices for chilli crops, he asked.
The TPCC chief said that it was Chandrashekar Rao who had mortgaged the self-respect of Telangana before Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the secret alliances between the TRS and the BJP was no more a secret and everyone in the State has realised that the Chief Minister was Modi's agent and a 'chamcha.'
Uttam appealed to the party cadre to make the visit of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to Medchal on November 23 a grand success. He said it would be Sonia Gandhi's maiden visit after formation of Telangana and therefore, the Medchal meeting would be of historic importance. He said there would be huge change in political circumstances after the visit of Sonia Gandhi. The TPCC chief informed that Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi would arrive at the Begumpet Airport at 4 pm on November 23. They will go to Medchal in a car, via Paradise Junction, Bowenpally and Kompally to address the meeting.
Uttam said that the Congress, when comes to power, would waive off crop loans up to Rs 2 lakh in a single take. Two lakh jobs, including one lakh in public sectors, will be ensured within a year after forming government. The TPCC chief had a live interaction through tele-conference with nearly 30,000 booth and mandal presidents in three spells.
