Madhira: TRS in Madhira received a major shock on Tuesday as seven councilors quit the party and joined Congress. After submitting their resignations, the seven councilors joined the Congress party in the presence of Congress candidate from Madhira Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.

The TRS councilors joined Congress include Boddu Nageswara Rao(Ward 1), Pulluri Babu(Ward 5), Moshey(Ward 7), Mallavarapu Vara Lakhsmi(Ward 9), Kona Sucharitha(Ward 13) , Munugoti Venkata Lakshmi(Ward 16) and Gundemeda Pavani(Ward 17) along with the district leaders Malladi Vasu, Kona Dhani Kumar, M Venkateswar Rao, and G Balaji.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti Vikramarka said that any development did not occur under the reign of TRS government as it boasts about and people are not benefited with any welfare schemes introduced by TRS government.

Whatever development the TRS is boasting about in its reign remained to papers only. People are well aware of this and are ready to teach fitting lesson in the ensuing Assembly elections, he added.

“Madhira constituency is my life and will strive for the betterment of the people until my last breath. I appeal to the people to bless me by casting their valuable votes for him along with playing key role in giving him bumper majority,” he said.
