Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is the Villain No. 1 of the newly-born State as he had hoodwinked four crore people shattering their dreams and ambitions in his just four-year rule, TDP Telangana unit president L Ramana has contended.
In an exclusive interview with The Hans India, the TDP leader explained how KCR exploited the people’s mandate by doing favours to his family members only. The entire public money meant for the welfare and development of State has gone into the kitty of the CM’s family, he deplored.
KCR owes an answer to the Telangana people as to why he had failed to fulfill the dreams of all sections of people during his rule. The TRS made the tall promises of construction of double bedroom houses to all poor and one lakh jobs in the government sector. But, none of them were grounded, the TDP leader said, adding that Mahakutami would highlight the plundering of Telangana financial resources by TRS chief’s family during the poll campaign effectively.
The Mahakutami comprising Congress, TDP, CPI and Telangana Jana Samithi formed with a single objective of exposing the hollowness of KCR government on all fronts. Ramana is confident that the grand alliance will succeed in convincing people that KCR is no more fit to rule the State and Mahakutami will be the only alternative. The ‘unholy’ secret alliance entered by KCR with BJP and AIMIM will also be one of the important issues in the Mahakutami poll campaign against the TRS.
The TDP leader said that Andhra settlers in Telangana, particularly in Greater Hyderabad limits, have come to a conclusion that TRS lacked a vision to develop the city. They voted TRS in the GHMC elections anticipating that KCR will improve civic amenities.
Now, all sections living in the capital city realised that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is the only competent leader to develop Hyderabad. The TDP will take up special poll campaign on city development comparing TDP and KCR regimes and convince the voters to support TDP and also the Mahakutami partners. Ramana maintained that TDP was strong enough in Telangana as the party won 15 Assembly seats and two MP seats in 2014 elections that were held post bifurcation.
Congress and TDP combine prepared a road map to wrest the power, he said, adding that the Mahakutami formulated a Common Minimum Programme (CMP), under which the partners will make the promise of filling up of one lakh jobs in one year, unemployment dole to all youth, farmers loan waiver up to Rs 2 lakh, recruitment of 20,000 teacher posts in 100 days soon after coming to power and transforming the CM’s palatial camp office – Pragathi Bhavan into a super speciality hospital. Some more important issues will be included in consultation with the partners before the document made public, he explained, adding that that the grand alliance will secure comfortable majority to form the government in Telangana.
