Telugu Desam Politburo member and Mahakutami candidate for Warangal West constituency Revuri Prakash Reddy said that the TRS government totally failed to fulfill the aspirations of people, who believed allround development of the region if Telangana is achieved
Hanamkonda: Telugu Desam Politburo member and Mahakutami candidate for Warangal West constituency Revuri Prakash Reddy said that the TRS government totally failed to fulfill the aspirations of people, who believed all-round development of the region if Telangana is achieved.
“Instead of providing good governance, the TRS leadership chose to focus on throttling the voice of the Opposition party leaders whenever the latter tried to raise the issues faced by the people,” Reddy said, accusing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of installing ‘family rule’ in the State. Further he accused the TRS government of bulldozing the democracy.
He appealed to the Congress cadres to cooperate with the TDP so that they can unseat the TRS government. “Even though there was a difference of ideology between the TDP and the Congress, both the parties have come together to dethrone the TRS, which has become a bane for the people,” Reddy said.
Revuri expressed regrets for Warangal District Congress Committee (DCC) President Naini Rajender Reddy, who tried in vain for Warangal West ticket. The onus is on Congress and the TDP to give an appropriate position to Naini, he said. “In fact, the TDP didn’t ask for Warangal West seat as part of seat sharing. We have asked for Warangal East, Narsampet, Parkal and Mahabubabad seats but the alliance committee had decided to allot Warangal West seat for the TDP,” Revuri said, urging the Congress cadres to uphold the spirit of Mahakutami.
Revuri said that he managed to bring peace in Narsampet constituency, which is violence-prone before the advent of TDP, after he became its legislator. “I gave my best to Narsampet during my stint as its legislator thrice,” he said, assuring that he would continue his good work in Warangal West constituency as well. Revuri said that his focus would be on slum areas in the city besides addressing other problems faced by the people.
TDP State secretary Pulluru Ashok Kumar said that since the announcement of Revuri Prakash Reddy for the West constituency, people in the constituency are upbeat expecting development. Revuri’s candidature is welcomed by intellectuals, employees, working class and students, he said.
Senior leaders Jatoth Santhosh Naik, Hanmakonda Sambaiah, Tallapally Jayapal, Syed Mansoor Hussain, Baba Khader Ali, Margam Sarangam, G Eashwara Chary, Bhukya Rajesh, Potharaju Anil, Banoth Veeranna, D Sandeep Goud, K Jayashankar and B Mohan Babu were among others present.
