Bharatiya Janata Party BJP State unit president Dr K Laxman asked the people of the State to suitably punish the Telangana Rashtra Samithi TRS government headed by caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for letting them down on all fronts in their last fourandahalfyear term
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president Dr K Laxman asked the people of the State to suitably punish the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government headed by caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for letting them down on all fronts in their last four-and-a-half-year term.
Addressing the media after the party State elections In-charge and Union Minister J P Nadda released a four-page ‘People's charge-sheet’ against the four-and-a-half-year of the TRS government here on Saturday. The charge sheet highlights 107 failures of the TRS government.
He said that the formation of Telangana was a collective effort of students, unemployed youth and government employees, supported by the political parties and people's organisations. Humiliated with KCR’s fast on to death drama on Telangana cause, it was the students of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities, who revived it by giving up their education and everything, he added.
Further, the State government employees too had played a crucial role in observing the 42-day in the 'Sakala Janula Samme' to press for the creation of separate Telangana. But they were let down by not announcing interim relief or PRC.
The movement was fought for Nidhulu, Neellu and Niyamakalu. And, the TRS government had promised justice on these issues and had come riding high on the Telangana sentiment and formed the first government of the newly formed State.
But, in the last four and half years, KCR has only established family rule, running a dictatorial government stifling any kind of protests and descent, on the floor of the State Assembly and removing Dharna Chowk. When the party insisted on his promise of creating 1.7 lakh jobs in the State Assembly, KCR had assured to fill 1.2 lakh jobs. But this is the only government which had not given a single DSC notification to fill about 30,000 vacant teacher posts.
The issue of fraudulent job notifications through the State Service Commission ended up in either result of the tests not being declared or the courts scrapping the examinations. This had left tens and thousands of unemployed youth and students in a lurch, he added.
Similarly, women could not get their due representation in the cabinet, Self Help Groups denied payment of pending interest on the loans availed and the promise of providing Rs 5 lakh for each SHG did not materialise.
Instead, the TRS government had humiliated them by distributing Bathukamma Saris procured from Surat, in which, the government had faced an allegation of Rs 250 crore scam. Nearly 4,500 farmers had committed suicides after the formation of Telangana and the State government failed to address their woes.
While several BJP-led States provided an additional bonus to the Minimum Support Price (MSP) announced by the Centre, the TRS government had handcuffed and sent farmers fighting for MSP to Red Chillies to jail, he said.
The BJP leader said that KCR had imposed early elections as he would not be in a position to ask for votes after completion of his five-year term. Because he promised not to ask votes until every household is provided with drinking water connection and water to one crore acres in the State. He feared that people might question him on this and thus imposed the early elections burdening the State exchequer, he said.
Laxman announced that the party is going to take the charge sheet to every house and village in the State to highlight the failures and lies of the TRS party and KCR. And, it is up to the people, whether they wanted to punish for five or ten years or for a lifetime. Later, the Union Minister and other senior leaders flagged off the campaign vehicles to step up the electioneering of the party in all the Assembly segments.
