School kids visit post office

Parigi: Primary class students from Sri Saraswathi Sishu Mandir under the guidance of head masters K Mallesh and Santhu Singh visited post office here on Monday. Sub post master Sandeep explained them various issues related to savings account, schemes, interest rates on deposits, distribution of pension to elders and official transactions.

Earlier postman Jaffar interacted with the students and explained them various aspects of letters like where to write ‘To’ and ‘From’ addresses on post cards, envelopes and inland covers. Later the students celebrated Diwali by lighting lamps at the school premises.
