Two youngsters arrested for peddling dry, liquid ganja

Excise officials seize 1 kg Hashish oil (ganja oil) and 7.1 kg of dry ganja from the accused

Hyderabad Excise Enforcement officials on Sunday arrested two persons for selling dry ganja and seized 1 kg Hashish oil (Cannabis oil), 7.1 kg of dry ganja besides one Maruti Swift car and one bike from their possession.

According to Assistant Excise Superintendent, Enforcement Nandyala Anji Reddy, on Saturday late night, on a tip-off, the Excise Enforcement team conducted route watch at Krishna Nagar crossroads, Banjara Hills and seized 1.4 Kg of dry ganja from the possession of Manikanta, 24, a native of East Godavari district and Abhilash, 26, a native of Kothagudem.

Based on the information shared by them, the Excise personnel searched a room at the Anupama Lodge, Krishna Nagar crossroads and seized 5.74 kg of dry ganja and 1 Kg Hashish oil from the hotel room and from the car.

Excise police said the gang members targeted the youth and were selling ganja packets of 25 gm and 50 gm for about Rs 500 and 1,000 respectively and 10 ml of Hashish oil for Rs 1,000.

The two accused were also involved in another case detected on Saturday at Amberpet.
