Madhira: The TPCC Campaign Committee chairman Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is in full throttle with his unique poll campaign to win Madhira seat in the Assembly elections and make it a hat-trick. After Madhira constituency was reserved as a SC constituency in 2009, the Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka won the seat twice in 2009 and 2014.
In 2014 Assembly elections, Bhatti Vikramarka defeated Lingala Kamal Raj, who contested on the CPM ticket by a margin of 12,329 votes. After winning as a MLA, Bhatti had taken initiation for construction of a primary project at a cost of Rs 43 crore for supplying safe drinking water to Madhira and Bonakal mandals where the people suffered with flourosis disease because of drinking water with high levels of fluoride.
He is also responsible for sanctioning of Agriculture Polytechnic College for Madhira when he was the deputy speaker of the Assembly in the Congress government. He also introduced science groups in Madhira Government Degree College.
Bhatti took special interest in laying of CC roads in Yerruplem, Meenavolu, Chintakani, Mudigonda and Madhira villages and in Nagulavancha colonies besides construction of four-lane road from Athkur village of Madhira mandal to Yellandupadu village at a cost of Rs13 crore with in stallation of central lighting.
It was Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka who took initiatives to the formation of Indiramma Dairy in Bonakal mandal with as many as 60,000 women members. This successful dairy has an annual turnover of Rs1,000 crore.
Expressing happiness on the new political equations that emerged with the coming together of Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI, Bhatti appealed the people to get rid of family rule and monarchy in the state and vote for Mahakutami candidates giving them bumper majority. He expressed his confidence that Mahakutami flag will fly over Telangana Assembly after the next Assembly elections.
