Nagarkurnool: The Ayappa devotees took out a huge protest rally in Achampet mandal of Nagarkurnool district on Monday, against the recent Supreme Court directive to allow women in Sabarimala temple.
The protesters demanded that the government must file a review petition in the court and see that the verdict is taken back and the Hindu Sanatana tradition and culture observed at Sabarimala temple and save the sanctity of the abode of Swamy Ayyappa.
Later, they sat in front of Achampet Mandal Revenue Office and gave a representation to the Achampet Tahasildar and sought government’s intervention for protecting the Hindu tradition and culture.
