​Kodad ( Suryapet): District police have stepped up vigil to seize unaccounted money and liquor meant to bribe voters the ensuing elections. On Sunday, SP Raavirala Venkatehwarlu along with DSP Sudarshan Reddy inspected Static surveillance team post (checkpost) located at state border Ramapuram crossroads of Kodad mandal in the district

The SP informed that as many as 12 checkposts (SST posts) were set up across the district to avoid illegal transport of liquor, money and other banned items, as the model code of conduct is in place. He directed the police officials and staff to inspect all vehicles carefully in maintaining law and order and also conduct free and fair elections as directed by the Election Commission.

Recently, the police seized Rs 10 crore from a vehicle in Hyderabad. DSP Sudarshan Reddy urged the people to extend their cooperation during the vehicle checking.
