TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to give necessary instructions to the candidates of his party on the strategy to be adopted in the ensuing elections to the Telangana Assembly at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday
Hyderabad: TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to give necessary instructions to the candidates of his party on the strategy to be adopted in the ensuing elections to the Telangana Assembly at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday.
According to TRS sources, all the 105 candidates have been asked by KCR to attend the meeting where the party chief would address them at 2.30 pm. Along with the candidates, the party has also asked all the MPs to attend the meeting without fail.
The Chief Minister would be chairing the meeting and would interact with the candidates. He would give necessary instructions on the strategy to be adopted during the campaign and the approach the candidate should adopt while campaigning in the constituencies. There are several instances where the candidates were opposed by the locals and some of the leaders lost cool while dealing with them. The Chief Minister would explain to them what needs to be done to avoid confrontation with voters, said a TRS leader.
Party leaders said KCR would interact with the candidates and make them aware of their position. The party had deployed MLCs and leaders who are in nominated posts to assess the ground situation and report to him.
The caretaker CM has recently announced partial manifesto declaring loan waiver scheme, increase in pensions, allowances for unemployed youth and increase in Rythu Bandhu subsidy. KCR, while releasing the manifesto, said the party was releasing a portion of it because the ground is open (khula maidan) for TRS candidates since there are no Opposition candidates to counter. The candidates would now use the manifesto to reach out to the people in the villages.
The TRS chief is likely to ask the party MPs to support the candidates in their respective constituencies. He may also take a decision on the Praja Ashirwada Sabhas. The public meetings of the party have been halted because of the Dasara festival and the CM would resume the campaign after Sunday’s meeting, sources said.
