Nizamabad: During the cordon and search operation in Abangapatnam in the Navipet area under the leadership of Police Commissioner Kartikeya on Wednesday, a total of 26 two-wheelers and an auto-rickshaw were seized because the owners failed to produce valid documents for the vehicles. The police also seized 13 beer and four liquor bottles too.

Later, Kartikeya told the media that eight parties were deployed to carry out the operation. In all, 300 houses were searched. He said similar search operations were so far organised in Mirchi Compound, Chandrasekhar Colony, Armoor, III Town, Bodhan, Nizamabad Rural, Nandipet police Iimits, Navipet, Renjal, II Town, Mostra, 300 quarters, VI Town and Asadbabanagar.

Among those who took part in the search operations were Additional DCP M Sridhar Reddy, Armed Reserve and Rural ACPs of Nizamabad, Bodhan G Srinivas Kumar, A Raghu, Ch Maheshwar, nine CIs, 17 SIs, 110 ASIs, HCs, constables, 14 women personnel, besides villagers Puli Sailu, Angadi Chinnayya and Nithin.
