Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday said that the manifesto of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, announced by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, was an acknowledgement of victory of the Congress in next election to Assembly, as it was a copy of the Congress promises.

Addressing the media, soon after the announcement of TRS manifesto by Chandrasekhara Rao, Uttam said that instead of giving an explanation on his failures to keep promises, the Chief Minister told what he would do if elected to power.

He said that the Chief Minister owes an apology to the government employees for not announcing interim relief to them. The Chief Minister did not respond on scrapping the Contributory Pension System.

He alleged that caretaker Chief Minister has stolen the entire manifesto of Congress party. Uttam described the TRS manifesto as 'makhi-to-makhi' (ditto) copy of promises being announced by the Congress party since the last few months. "It is highly ridiculous that both KCR and his son and minister KT Rama Rao had described the promises of Congress party as unpractical.

Rama Rao had even claimed that the budget of entire South India would not be sufficient to fulfil the promises being made by the Congress party. However, sensing a humiliating defeat in next elections, KCR has copied all the promises and presenting them as TRS manifesto," he said.

"KCR spoke a lot about farmers in Tuesday’s press conference. Before making any fake claims and tall promises, KCR should tender an unconditional apology to the farmers. As against the overall budgetary allocations of over Rs 6.75 lakh crore in the last four-and-a-half years, not a single rupee was allocated to give bonus to farmers. With a clear defeat in sight, KCR is now shamelessly talking about farmers' welfare and Market Intervention Fund by copying the term from Congress manifesto," he said.

He said that the crop loan waiver implemented by TRS government did not benefit the farmers as it was split into four installments. But today Chandrasekhara Rao is talking about waiving off crop loans up to Rs 1 lakh in one-go.
The TPCC chief said Chandrasekhara Rao was copying the Congress promise of giving funds to people to construct their own houses and citing the findings of survey as the reason. "KCR had announced in the Assembly that his government would construct 2.65 lakh double bed room houses across the State in three years.

Why TRS Government did not complete those houses and now speaking of modifying the housing policy?" he asked. The TPCC chief said instead of presenting a progress report of his governance for the last four-and-a-half years, Chandrasekhara Rao was still talking about previous regimes.

Uttam said Chandrasekhara Rao apparently believes that people have a short memory and they would forget his lies. "People are intelligent and alert. They will not fall for your cheap tactics and teach you a fitting lesson in next elections. You had unleashed Police Rajyam during the last four years and you are still resorting to intimidating talk. We are not afraid of your threats. You've accumulated huge illegal wealth by looting people and we will recover everything once Congress comes to power," he said.

He pointed out that during the Congress Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra early this year, he had pointed out that a silent revolution brewing among people of Telangana. The same revolution has now come out in open.
