Hyderabad: TRS president and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will announce partial manifesto of the party on Tuesday which would include promise of waiver of farm loans at one go.
According to sources, the Chief Minister, may once again announce the farm loan waiver scheme. In the wake of the opposition Congress party’s announcement of loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh, the party is slated to announce loan waiver benefit to the debt-ridden farmers in the state.
Sources said that this time the party may announce loan waiver at one go unlike the earlier loan waiver scheme which was given in four instalments. It remains to be seen in what shape TRS' loan waiver scheme would finally emerge.
TRS Manifesto Committee chief K Keshava Rao said that the Manifesto Committee would discuss the representations given by various sections in Tuesday’s meeting. All the committee members have been asked to attend the meeting without fail. The manifesto committee has met couple of times and had decided to prepare the manifesto with 20 topics based on the recommendations received from different sections.
Several associations/ organisations gave representations to the manifesto committee so that they can be included in the latest manifesto. The leaders are of the opinion that there was a need for taking the message of manifesto to the people hence it was decided to announce some of the important promises of the manifesto before the final manifesto come out.
The schemes, which are likely to be discussed and announced, include enhancement of pension money. There may be a surprise this time in the form of unemployed allowance but with a different name. The double bedroom scheme would be modified and financial assistance would be provided to the individuals who are having plots for construction of houses, sources said.
