Bhongir: District police cracked Yadagiri murder case that took place on July 7 under Bibinagar police limits. The arrested accused was identified as Mangamma wife of Yadagiri.
On Thursday, producing the accused before the media in a press conference held at DCP office in Bhongir, DCP Ramachandra Reddy informed that M Yadagiri and Manga alias Mangamma were blessed with three daughters and three sons and residing in Balajinagar.
Mangamma is the bread winner of the family and is a daily wage labour, where as Yadagiri was a drunkard. He used to send his children for begging at bus stand and railway stations for money for his liquor needs.
Manga filed a case in police station against her husband Yadagiri in 2017 when he tried to abuse the daughter sexually. Even after police counseling, Yadagiri did not change his behaviour.
During the course of time they shifted to close to Bibinagar railway station from Balaji Nagar. Meanwhile, on July 7, crossing his limits Yadagiri forced wife Manga to do prostitution for his financial needs. Vexed Manga lost her cool and strangled him.
Raliway police filed a case in this regard. Mangamma informed to the police that four persons took away her husband from the residence and beaten him to death at the railway under bridge and dropped him on railway tracks. Expressing doubt on Mangamma’s version, police shifted the case to Bibinagar police station.
Meanwhile, as part of investigation, police took Mangamma into their custody and interrogated in their style. During interrogation she confessed to her crime and told police that her husband harassed all the family members for his liquor needs. He could not change his behavior even after serving the jail term. She was forced to kill her husband in order to save herself and children from him, she confessed.
