Sexual assault on minor girl : Accused arrested under POCSO Act
The West Zone police arrested the accused Mohammed Jeelani 29 involved in aggravated penetrative sexual assault on minor girl at Azaan International School at Tolichowki
Hyderabad: The West Zone police arrested the accused Mohammed Jeelani (29) involved in aggravated penetrative sexual assault on minor girl at Azaan International School at Tolichowki.
Addressing the press conference on Sunday, West Zone DCP A R Srinivas said cases booked on the accused Mohammed Jeelani (29) under sections 376 2(i) IPC and section 5(M) r/w 6 POCSO (Prevention of Children from sexual Offences) Act-2012.
He said the accused was working from five years in the school as a supervisor. The accused Mohammed Jeelani has been working as supervisor in Azaan International School from 2014.
As per the evidence of the parents and medical evidence, the victim girl was sexually assaulted by the accused in the school premises on September 14 in between 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The accused was arrested on September 15 and he is being produced in the court.
According to police, On September 14 at 6 pm the victim’s mother Zakiya Hamdi, 35, a housewife resident of Aruna colony, Tolichowki gave lodged a complaint with the Golkonda police alleging that her daughter (aged four and half years old who is studying UKG in Azaan International School, Tolichowki) complained her about sexual assault incident.
Zakiya Hamdi complained, after returning from the school that her daughter was getting severe pain in her private parts. Then she observed daughter by removing her clothes.
She found that her daughter was bleeding from her private parts. When she enquired her daughter, she told one uncle by name Jeelani gave her a chocolate and took her into a bathroom of first floor and by removing her clothes sexually assaulted her.
After listening to her daughter version, she was shocked and reached the school. Along with headmistress of the school they immediately took the victim to Jayabhushan hospital, Mehdipatnam for treatment.
The doctor treated her and advised take her to Niloufer Hospital for better treatment.
They again went to school where the victim identified the accused in the presence of Headmistress and other staff members of the school.
After receiving the complaint from victim’s mother, Golconda police took up the investigation.
Later the victim girl was admitted as in-patient in Niloufer hospital in Nampally where she underwent surgery and undergoing further treatment in the hospital.
The Clues team of Hyderabad city police visited the crime scene and examined, and statements were recorded.
The material objects of the victim were sent to the Director, Telangana Forensic Science laboratory for analysis and report.
In the case, the offence of aggravated penetrative sexual assault on minor girl was established.
Later under section 164 of Cr P C. the victim girl’s statement will be recorded in detail by the Magistrate and medical reports awaited.
The DCP said as the rumours were coming against the accused in several cases they were investigating it in all angles and see that as a fast track case it is solved as soon as possible, and the accused get convicted.
After the incident took place, a large number of people were gathered on the school premises including the victim’s family members and their supporters.
The DCP said that some outsiders entered the school area and created tension which led to injury of police men and damaging of vehicles including the police vans.
Cases registered against those who involved in the ransacking of public property and created traffic problems.
The DCP said condition of the victim girl is normal now. “For the negligence of the school management Collector and DEO will take action against them”, DCP answered.
