Hyderabad: In a touching incident, the Rachakonda cybercrime police on Tuesday traced one missing boy and reunited him with his family. The police traced the boy with the help of social media platform Facebook. The boy was reunited with his family after seven long years.

According to Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat, on January 31, 2011 a missing complaint was filed in Malkajgiri police station. According to the report, Sujeeth Kumar Jha (15) was living with his sister and brother-in-law at their house in Moula-Ali, Malkajgiri. On January 31,2011 without informing his care-takers he went out of the house and did not return. Sujeeth’s brother-in-law filed a missing complaint.

Based on the information received, Malkajgiri SHO filed a missing case and took up investigation. After putting due efforts, the police were unable to trace the boy. Accidentally, the complainant came across the missing boy on Facebook and sent a friend request but, the boy did not accept the request. Later, the missing boy changed his name on the Facebook profile.

The complainant immediately intimated the Malkajgiri police about the presence of the boy on Facebook. Based on the information, the investigative officer and complainant approached Rachakonda cybercrime police for technical assistance in tracking and tracing the missing boy.

Based on the request, cybercrime sleuths with their strenuous efforts tracked and traced the missing boy Sujeeth Jha at Majgaon in Mumbai. A team led by D Jalender Reddy, Inspector of Police along with constables reached Mumbai and picked up Sujeeth, who turned 23-year-old.

At present, he is working under a catering contractor by name Vijay Shirka of Mumbai. The excitement and happiness of his parents and relatives knew no bounds. He was handed over to Malkajgiri police for further investigation.
